Microsoft Teams
Microsoft Teams app is a messaging and collaboration app that combines the power of chat, voice, and video, along with content sharing, to make teams more productive. Microsoft Teams allows team members to share files from their devices and cloud storage and create custom channels for different projects or tasks. It also offers a way to connect team members with other professionals by providing a company directory.
Team members can start an ad-hoc call without leaving the app by tapping on a team member's name. They can also schedule recurring meetings for daily, weekly, or monthly check-ins using Microsoft teams' calendar integration.
Each chat message includes a star to allow you to flag important messages that need your attention. You can then find all your starred messages from the "Starred" section in your chats.
In addition to conversations, you can also conduct an instant message session with a team member through text messaging.
Microsoft Teams allows for easy collaboration with just a few taps. The app stores all your files and data on OneDrive, so you can access them from anywhere, at any time. You can also upload files from your device or phone directly to a channel in Microsoft teams.
With the help of PowerBI integration, you can create custom charts and reports based on your data. You need to connect your Excel data file with Power BI through its web address and then choose the format type that fits your needs best (PivotTable, List, or Card).
Team members can share pictures and videos within a chat using the Photo option. They can also use that same feature to work together on a big project or presentation by uploading their individual images into one file and then presenting them as slides in Microsoft teams.
Microsoft Teams is much more than an instant messaging app because it has built-in voice and video calling capabilities. You can start an ad-hoc call with up to 15 people through the app or schedule recurring meetings.
Each chat message features a mute button that allows you to turn off the microphone when you're on a call but still listen in. Also, you can end your calls whenever you need to by just tapping on the red phone icon that appears at the top right corner of your screen.
Microsoft Teams also helps you develop a community for your company or organization. You can share information with everyone in your group by adding them to a channel, where they'll receive notifications as soon as new conversations are started up.
If you want to share files and messages with only certain people, you can create private channels for your team by going to the "Channels" tab and then tapping on the "+" button. You'll then need to pick a name for that channel and tap on the checkmark symbol at the top right corner of your screen.
You can also use cards from Power BI to share information such as company announcements, updates, and more. To do this, go to "Power BI" in Microsoft Teams, then choose the card you want your team to see by clicking on it. You'll then be able to edit that card and add additional features that will appear on top of your content (such as a picture or highlighting).
