Stealth horror where every metallic footstep could be your last

CASE: Animatronics delivers a tense, first-person stealth horror experience that feels like a night shift gone catastrophically wrong. You play as Detective John Bishop, trapped inside a darkened police department after an anonymous hacker seizes control of the security systems and unleashes murderous animatronics through the corridors.

The game leans heavily on atmosphere and sound. Flickering lights, echoing metallic footsteps, and distant electronic growls keep you on edge, forcing you to rely as much on your ears as your eyes. A tablet-style security interface lets you switch between cameras and track movement, while a limited flashlight adds another layer of resource management and suspense.

Gameplay revolves around stealth and survival rather than combat. You’ll sneak between rooms, duck under desks, hide in lockers, and time your movements as animatronics patrol nearby. Puzzles and key-item hunts break up the tension, pushing you to explore the station while constantly fearing what waits around the next corner. When an animatronic spots you, chases can be brutally unforgiving, demanding quick reactions and a good knowledge of the layout.

Visually, CASE: Animatronics does a solid job with moody lighting and claustrophobic environments, even if some textures and animations show their indie roots. The real star is the sound design, which makes wearing headphones almost mandatory for full immersion.

On the downside, difficulty spikes and occasional clunky interactions with objects can lead to frustration, especially when a single mistake sends you back to a previous checkpoint. Still, for players who enjoy nerve-shredding jump scares, relentless stalker enemies, and a narrative shrouded in mystery, CASE: Animatronics is a gripping and genuinely scary horror experience worth your late-night attention.
