myGMC
myGMC puts remote control and vehicle care in your pocket
myGMC is designed to be the digital companion for GMC owners, bringing key vehicle functions and information together in one clean, brand-focused interface. Rather than feeling like a gimmick, its remote features genuinely add day-to-day convenience, especially in harsh weather or busy urban settings.
The standout capability is the built-in key fob on the home screen. From there you can remotely lock or unlock the doors and, on supported models, start the engine to precondition the cabin. The app also shines as a dashboard for vehicle health: fuel level or EV charge status, oil life, tire pressure, and other telemetry are clearly laid out, making it easier to decide when to refuel, recharge, or book maintenance.
Speaking of maintenance, the integrated service scheduling with participating dealers is a thoughtful touch. Instead of juggling calls or websites, you can request an appointment based on the status data myGMC already sees. Roadside Assistance access is similarly streamlined: whether you need a tow, fuel, or help with a flat, requests can be initiated directly from the app.
For newer owners, the “How Things Work” section is surprisingly useful. Embedded tutorials and access to the owner’s manual demystify features like Bluetooth pairing and driver-assistance systems, making it easier to get the most out of a modern GMC.
There are some caveats. Many functions depend on an active OnStar plan, strong network coverage, and compatible model years, so not every driver will see the full feature set. Users have also reported occasional connection delays when sending commands or destinations to the vehicle’s built-in navigation.
Despite these limitations, myGMC succeeds as a central hub for ownership, blending remote control, maintenance, and support tools into a cohesive, brand-specific experience.
