Intense prison horror with smart puzzles and multiple endings

Mr. Meat 2: Prison Break picks up right where the original left off, turning a grim execution day into a tense survival horror adventure set inside a sprawling state prison. This time you step into the shoes of Rebecca, the butcher’s traumatized daughter, who must navigate a labyrinth packed with bloodthirsty pigs, deadly traps and a disturbingly persistent Mr. Meat.

The core experience mixes stealth, exploration and environmental puzzles. You’ll creep through cell blocks, infirmaries and control rooms, hunting for keys, tools and codes while constantly listening for footsteps and squeals. The level design is more ambitious than in the first game, with interlocking areas and shortcuts that open up as you solve puzzles, encouraging thorough exploration.

Mr. Meat and the grotesque Pig 13 return as primary threats, backed by roaming pig enemies that keep pressure high. Their patrol routines and sudden chases are genuinely nerve-racking, especially on higher difficulties where a single mistake can undo several minutes of progress. Thankfully, the controls are generally responsive, though the first-person camera can feel a bit clumsy in tight corridors.

Narrative cinematics flesh out the backstory of Rebecca, her family and the prison staff, giving context to the chaos and making each ending feel earned. Multiple possible conclusions — some hopeful, some bleak — encourage replaying with different strategies to uncover every secret and the “true” helicopter escape.

Visually, the game leans into a stylized, gritty aesthetic that suits its slasher tone, while sound design does much of the heavy lifting, with creaks, distant screams and pig grunts amplifying tension. Occasional trial-and-error frustration and spikes in difficulty may deter newcomers, but genre fans will find a robust, atmospheric horror experience that significantly expands on the original’s formula.
