TMNT
Build your ultimate TMNT squad and battle across the multiverse
TMNT: Mutant Madness is a light yet surprisingly deep hero-collector brawler that leans hard into nostalgia while keeping the action accessible. You command a squad built from familiar faces across the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles universe, mixing heroes and villains into one quirky, overpowered team.
Gameplay revolves around assembling and upgrading your roster of characters, then sending them into side-scrolling, semi-auto battles. Combat is snappy and visually busy: the Turtles unleash signature moves, enemies explode into comic-book effects, and special abilities trigger with flashy animations. It’s more about team composition and power levels than twitch reflexes, which makes it easy to pick up in short sessions.
Progression is driven by collecting ooze, scrap, and gems to level heroes, unlock new skills, and equip better gear. The secret lair adds a management layer, generating resources over time and giving you reasons to keep tweaking your setup. Clans and PvP skirmishes add social and competitive spice, letting you test your lineup against other players for extra rewards.
Fans will appreciate the attention to the brand: the humor, character designs, and villains like Shredder, Krang, Bebop, and Rocksteady are faithfully represented, wrapped in a colorful, cartoonish art style that suits the license well.
On the downside, the free-to-play structure means plenty of grinding, energy limits, and a reliance on random hero drops. Progress can feel gated unless you’re patient or willing to spend money. The combat, while entertaining, can also become repetitive once you’ve seen most of the enemy types.
Still, for anyone who loves the Turtles or enjoys laid-back squad RPGs, TMNT: Mutant Madness offers a charming, content-rich experience with enough strategy and fan service to keep you coming back.
