PS Remote Play

PS Remote Play is an app that allows users of Sony's PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles to enjoy their games and other content remotely from any mobile device instead of relying upon the physical console to do so.

Anyone with a reliable internet connection, current version of either of the two relevant consoles, a PlayStation Network account, and a mobile device running Android version 12.0 or later, can use this app to the fullest; while PS Remote Play is compatible with versions of Android as old as 7.0, controller compatibility depends on whether the user is interacting with a PS4 or PS5. In order to cooperate with a PS4 controller, the user's device must have Android version 10.0 or newer, and PS5 controllers require Android version 12.0 or newer.

It should be noted that running this app takes up considerably more data than just streaming video and not all video games offer support for this method of playing them. There is also a notable concern that using a wireless controller can contribute to lag, making this a poor choice for any sort of game that requires quick reaction times, such as a fighting game or real time strategy title.
