Lara Croft: Relic Run
Relentless tomb-running action with style, stunts and T-Rex battles
Lara Croft: Relic Run takes the familiar endless runner formula and injects it with the swagger and spectacle of classic Tomb Raider adventures. You’re not just dashing forward; you’re wall-running, vaulting over ruins, sliding under traps, firing weapons and leaping into set-piece moments that feel surprisingly cinematic for a runner.
Each area — jungle, desert and mountains — has its own visual flair and hazards, from collapsing ruins to zip-lines and death-defying swan dives. The environments look lush and detailed, and the game frequently shifts the camera to highlight Lara’s parkour moves or to showcase a crumbling temple behind you. It can be flashy, but it rarely gets in the way of play.
Controls are simple and responsive: swipes handle jumping, sliding and lane-switching, while taps trigger shooting segments and vehicle sections. The ATV and motorcycle runs break up the standard on-foot gameplay nicely, letting you smash through obstacles and ramp off cliffs at high speed.
Progression is driven by collecting relic pieces, upgrading weapons and unlocking outfits that provide useful perks. There’s a decent sense of growth, though the game leans heavily on grinding and optional purchases for faster upgrades. Endless mode and online leaderboards give high-score chasers a reason to return, especially once the campaign paths start to feel repetitive.
Performance is solid on more recent devices, with only occasional frame drops when the screen is particularly busy. Older hardware can struggle a bit with loading detailed textures, but it remains playable.
Lara Croft: Relic Run doesn’t revolutionize the genre, yet its slick presentation, varied set pieces and faithful use of the Tomb Raider universe make it one of the more engaging action runners available.
