FLIR ONE is the companion app for FLIR’s thermal camera accessories, and it does an impressive job of turning your everyday device into a serious inspection instrument. Paired with a compatible FLIR ONE camera, it provides a live thermal view that lets you quickly spot temperature anomalies in electrical panels, HVAC systems, insulation, plumbing, and more.

The interface is clean and practical, clearly designed with technicians and advanced DIY users in mind. The main view puts your thermal feed front and center, with easy access to image capture, video recording, and essential analysis tools. Features like MSX image enhancement and VividIR help sharpen edges and add detail, making it much easier to interpret what you’re seeing rather than staring at a vague heat blob.

Professionals will appreciate the ability to track the hottest and coldest points in the frame (on supported camera models) and to drop temperature spot measurements directly on screen. Multiple color palettes—iron, rainbow, grayscale, and others—allow you to tailor the view to the situation, whether you’re tracing a hot wire or looking for hidden moisture behind a wall.

Support for the FLIR ONE Edge series is a real highlight: you can detach the camera and hold it at odd angles or into tight spaces while still monitoring the image comfortably on your device. This adds a lot of flexibility for inspections in cramped or hazardous locations.

Without the physical FLIR ONE accessory, the app is mostly a guided tour, so it’s not a standalone solution. But if you already own—or plan to invest in—the hardware, the FLIR ONE app is a polished, powerful, and reliable control center for professional-grade thermal diagnostics.
