Office Zombie
Stress busting slapstick with an endlessly abused office zombie
Office Zombie turns workplace frustration into gleefully gory slapstick, giving you one simple task: pelt an undead cubicle dweller with anything that isn’t nailed down. It’s a spiritual sibling to Office Jerk, but trades passive-aggressive pranks for full-on cartoon mayhem.
The core loop is immediately satisfying. You stand at one end of the office, flicking items across the room at the zombie. Each object behaves differently: bricks have weighty impact, saw blades slice, grenades and explosive bears create splashy chaos, while the classic falling anvil offers old-school cartoon hilarity. Hitting specific body parts or pulling off trick shots triggers new animations and reactions, which keeps experiments fun.
What lifts Office Zombie above a simple throw-and-hit toy is its layer of progression. Daily challenges, a Zombie Destruction Checklist and login rewards give you short-term goals beyond “see what happens if I lob this cauldron.” Unlocking and mastering the full 20+ item arsenal becomes strangely compelling as you chase new reactions and high scores.
Visually, the game leans into exaggerated, spooky-cute gore rather than true horror. The zombie’s rubbery animations and over-the-top injuries are more comical than disturbing, supported by appropriately squelchy sound effects and satisfying impact noises. Controls are purely swipe-based and responsive, with an easy learning curve that suits quick sessions.
The downside is repetition. There’s just one basic setting and no deeper narrative or strategic layer, so long play sessions can feel samey. Some players may also find the constant barrage of ads and prompts for virtual currency a bit intrusive.
Still, as a pick-up-and-play stress reliever, Office Zombie works very well. It’s best enjoyed in short bursts when you want silly, slightly twisted fun and don’t mind turning an undead colleague into your personal crash-test dummy.
