Live race timing and results in your pocket

Race Monitor turns race days into a data-rich experience, whether you’re a competitor in the paddock or a fan in the grandstand. Its core strength lies in live timing, pulling data from hundreds of tracks and events worldwide, as well as directly from MyLaps, Westhold, and MotoSponder systems via the RMonitor protocol.

The interface focuses firmly on what matters most at the track: lap times, positions, and classes. You can follow races in real time, watch gaps shrink or grow, and sort the field by overall race position or qualifying order. Grouping racers by category is particularly useful during multi-class events, making it far easier to keep track of who is actually leading within each group rather than just seeing a crowded timing sheet.

Race Monitor is free to download and offers open access to race results along with live timing for select events. However, to unlock live timing for the majority of races, you’ll need a subscription. This paywall might disappoint casual fans, but serious racers and dedicated followers will likely see the value in reliable, up-to-the-moment data from so many venues.

Upgrading to Race Monitor Plus adds a layer of tools squarely aimed at competitors. The Heads Up Display surfaces historical lap times in a racer-friendly view, helping you spot consistency or pace changes at a glance. Racer Alerts are another highlight, notifying you when a chosen driver or rider goes on track, which is perfect if you’re juggling multiple sessions or keeping tabs on friends and rivals.

Connection requirements can be a limitation at some circuits, especially where tracks restrict access to their wireless networks. Still, when the data stream is available, Race Monitor delivers a fast, focused, and highly informative timing experience that brings professional-style telemetry insight to race day.
