Miracast

Miracast - Wifi Display can enable screen sharing between your phone and TV. This process, often known as casting, essentially means that anything on your phone can appear on your TV. For example, consider some of the popular streaming services you have on your phone or other mobile device. Most of us have a wide variety of different media services on our phones and tablets. We're used to enjoying our content on the go. But what happens when we're visiting friends or family but want to let them in on the fun as well? We could show off our favorite shows on our phones. But crowding around a smaller display isn't a great option. We might be able to use our host's streaming services. But doing so would require perfect parity between everyone's subscriptions.

Miracast gets by all of those issues by connecting directly to a TV. Miracast makes it easy to share anything we watch on our phone. All we need to do is ensure that the receiving TV supports the miracast format and that it's connected to the same wifi point as our phone. Most smart TVs, media boxes and even cable boxes support streaming from Miracast - Wifi Display. Once we connect our phone to the TV through miracast the two devices will mirror each other. Anything that appears on our phone will appear on the TV. All we need to do is start the streaming and a whole household can join in on the fun.
