Dino Squad
Team based dinosaur battles with deep customization
Dino Squad throws you into fast-paced, prehistoric warfare where you don’t just control a soldier – you *are* the dinosaur. It’s a third-person, multiplayer shooter built around short, intense matches and a satisfying sense of progression.
The core appeal lies in its roster of more than a dozen iconic dinosaurs, from the aggressive T-Rex to bulkier tanks like the Triceratops and nimble raptors. Each species handles differently, pushing you to experiment with playstyles: flanking with speedy scouts, holding objectives with heavily armored brutes, or raining damage from mid-range specialists. Layered on top is extensive customization: guns, armor, grenades, and special abilities can be mixed to create surprisingly varied loadouts.
Matches take place across six sizeable maps, each with different elevation, cover, and chokepoints. Verticality matters here – perching on cliffs or hiding in valleys can decide a fight. The visuals are vibrant and stylized rather than ultra-realistic, but the dinosaurs are nicely animated and the effects during heavy firefights are genuinely eye-catching.
Controls are standard twin-stick shooter fare and generally responsive, though chaotic encounters can make aiming feel a bit floaty, especially on smaller screens. Balance is mostly solid but not perfect: some late-game dinos and premium gear can feel overpowered, which may frustrate new players facing experienced squads. Progression can also become grindy if you’re unwilling to invest money, as upgrades take longer at higher levels.
Despite these drawbacks, Dino Squad succeeds at what it sets out to do: deliver accessible, team-based action with a strong dinosaur fantasy. If you enjoy competitive shooters and love the idea of turning classic Jurassic creatures into armored war machines, this is a fun and surprisingly tactical choice that rewards both reflexes and smart team coordination.
