Feature rich Pokédex companion for casual fans and pros

dataDex is a polished, fan‑made Pokédex that feels instantly welcoming whether you’re a newcomer or a competitive battler. Its clean, modern interface makes sifting through hundreds of creatures far less daunting than you might expect.

The core Pokédex is impressively complete, covering every main series game up to Scarlet and Violet and Legends Arceus. Each Pokémon page is packed with details: base stats, typings, abilities, move pools, and flavor entries are all just a tap away. The Pokeball multi-button is a clever navigation hub, letting you jump between Pokémon, moves, abilities, items, and natures, and then narrow things further with powerful filters for game version, generation, or type.

Where dataDex really stands out is how it supports planning and theorycrafting. The built-in Team Builder (available as a PRO feature) lets you assemble up to six Pokémon, choose the game version, and instantly see type coverage, team stats, and resistances. The granular customization is excellent: you can fine‑tune EVs, IVs, abilities, held items, moves, and even add personal notes for each team member.

Beyond individual Pokémon, the Location Dex and Move Dex round out the package. The Location Dex tells you which monsters appear in each area, how you can encounter them, and at what levels, while the Move Dex lets you filter by generation and type to find exactly the attacks you need.

Multi-language support is robust, with full text in several European languages and data-only support for Japanese and Chinese. Everything works offline, which is ideal for long trips or gaming sessions away from Wi-Fi.

The only real drawback is that some of the deepest tools sit behind the PRO upgrade, but the free offering is still generous. As a comprehensive, well-designed Pokédex companion, dataDex is easy to recommend.
