Brutal physics fighter with ragdoll chaos and endless gear

Bloody Bastards is an over-the-top medieval brawler that turns clumsy physics into pure entertainment. You step into the shoes of a disgruntled warrior facing off against hordes of equally ill-fated “bastard brothers” in chaotic one-on-one duels.

Combat is built entirely around 2D physics and ragdoll mechanics. Instead of traditional virtual buttons, you tap and hold on each side of the screen to control your character’s hands independently, swinging weapons in wide, unpredictable arcs. Double-tapping shifts your fighter forward or backward, giving every match a scrappy, improvised feel. At first, it can feel awkward and even frustrating, but once you get the rhythm, the system becomes surprisingly expressive and addictive.

The real hook lies in the vast arsenal of gear. Daggers, axes, swords, maces, hammers, shields, and a huge selection of helmets, armor, and leg pieces let you build a fighter that matches your style, whether that’s nimble stabber or lumbering tank. Experimenting with different loadouts is half the fun, especially as you progress through numerous levels with increasingly tricky enemies.

Visually, the game uses chunky pixel art that pairs perfectly with the exaggerated limb flailing and bone-crunching impacts. The sound design leans into the brutality as well, with meaty hits and satisfying clangs of steel on steel.

Multiplayer takes the chaos up a notch, pitting you against real opponents in frantic duels where anything can happen. However, the loose physics and unconventional controls can make online matches feel inconsistent, and some players may bounce off the learning curve.

Still, if you enjoy skill-based fighting games that don’t take themselves too seriously, Bloody Bastards delivers a distinctive, hilariously violent experience with impressive replay value.
