AndroPods
Get iOS style AirPods controls and battery popups on your phone
AndroPods is a clever companion that brings many of the seamless AirPods conveniences usually associated with Apple devices over to your everyday phone experience. If you own AirPods (1, 2, 3, or Pro) or Powerbeats Pro, this tool adds the missing polish that basic Bluetooth pairing never quite delivers.
The star attraction is the battery indicator. Whenever you open your case, a clean, iOS-style popup appears, complete with smooth animations and model-specific images. You also get ongoing battery information in the notification shade, along with an optional percentage right in the status bar icon. It makes it effortless to check whether you can get through a commute or workout without a recharge.
Beyond that, AndroPods adds smart extras. With the Pro features, in-ear detection can automatically pause playback when you remove an earbud and resume when you put it back in, mimicking Apple’s native behavior. There’s also a configurable gesture to invoke your voice assistant with a series of taps on your AirPods, which works well as long as nothing is currently playing in the background—a platform limitation the developer explains clearly.
The interface is straightforward: a few toggles, explanatory notes, and you’re set. Power users may appreciate that you can fine‑tune notification behavior and, if needed, whitelist the app in battery optimization settings to keep readings accurate.
AndroPods isn’t doing anything flashy beyond its core mission, but it nails the essentials with reliability and a polished feel. If you’re invested in Apple’s earbuds yet use a different ecosystem for your phone, this is one of the most effective ways to close that gap and restore the convenience you’re used to.
